Community: Fertility & IVF Support
Trying to conceive can become emotionally heavy when every month turns into waiting, testing, hoping, and disappointment. A simple rule many doctors follow is: If a couple has been trying for 12 months with regular unprotected intercourse and has not conceived, fertility evaluation is usually recommended. If the woman is over 35, evaluation is generally suggested after 6 months. If she is over 40, it is better to speak to an obstetrician-gynaecologist sooner. Fertility evaluation does not mean IVF immediately. It usually means understanding: Ovulation pattern Semen analysis Tubal factors Hormonal profile Uterine factors Age-related fertility factors The goal is not to panic. The goal is to avoid losing valuable time. Community question: What is one fertility question people hesitate to ask openly?
